Ever have a fandom experience that completely just deflates you? That has been me today. Talk about feeling unwelcome. I don't think I want to deal with any fandom for a while. And no, I don't want to talk about it.
In other news, I watched Howl's Moving Castle the other night. I liked it. I felt like it unraveled at the end, but it was still enjoyable. It made for a nice change of pace
*sigh* Back to homework.

Date: 2008-03-19 08:04 pm (UTC)Btw, I hadn't had a chance, but I've noticec much TMNT glee coming from your general direction. I used to be a huge fan of the old 80s/90s cartoon. Good times ;)

Date: 2008-03-19 10:20 am (UTC)Howl's - have you read the book? It's, well, completely different. I think the film looks utterly beautiful, but I'm biased towards the book, because I'd already loved it for years before the film came out. It makes more sense, too - some of the stuff Diana Wynne Jones wrote is kind of difficult to convey visually.

I loved Howl's Moving Castle (both book and movie versions for different reasons) I was always a bit in love with Howl - hehehe

Date: 2008-03-19 07:58 pm (UTC)I want to check out the book. I like anime style anyway, so I've been wanting to see the movie for quite some tie, but after watching it I definitely want to read the book. :)
