Revenge of the Sith Trailer

Um, wow. My brother was not kidding when he said this trailer was good. Well, he used the term amazing, but I didn't believe him. Perhaps I should since he is the worst when it comes to criticizing a movie. Nothing makes this man happy!

Anyway, I guess they played it on Fox last night, according to one of my friends. It played after The OC. Since I don't watch that show, I didn't know about it. My bro doesn't watch that show either, so I am curious as to how he was in the know and I wasn't!

But, let me tell you. I was impressed by this trailer. The prequels will never be as good as the originals in my eyes, but this trailer was nice. Now, a trailer can tell you alot about a movie or nothing at all. Trailers for eps 1 and 2 were great too. But man, this puppy is dark. DARK. I like. I might have some hope for this movie yet!



Whoever edited the trailer is wonderful. This was tense, sad, and gave me the shivers. (Only because I used to be submerged in Star Wars)

Wow, just wow. The Obi-Wan and Anakin stuff is stunning. Obi-Wan's pain and denial is palpable. He is blind to what Anakin has become, and it shows this time he seems to actually care for the man. It's painful to watch him realize what has happened, especially since he has trusted him. Kudos to Ewan. He always puts so much into his performance. I think I am going to like him and Palpatine the most in this movie, from the trailer alone. Outstanding.

Anakin is dark and lustful for power, and he commands this creepy presence. Not so much as Vader or Palpatine, but great nonetheless. We see glimpses of his confiding in Padme, and I truly think that she is his foundation. But a weak one at that, which can be easily crumbled and send him into despair. We get to see her breakdown and it's so sad.

The Palpatine stuff--wonderful. I love that character and to see him manipulate. Great.

My bro was right. The scene where Mace comes to arrest the Chancellor is well done. Cool!

Anyway, I will stop now. The sound, and the editing really made this come alive and I am going to watch it again. I am so happy! At least for a little while ;)

You give me hope, Lady! I've been worried about this film after my lukewarm reaction to the first 2. Perhaps after it comes out we can hash out what we thought of it hmm?

First, why didn't you post a link to the trailer?

Second, as MANY people are pointing out: Beware. The trailers for the first 2 prequels were also amazing. It's the movies as whole entities that were terrible. This one will not be any different.

I can see where he was going wiht the whole setup, but I think he was trying so hard that the elements and human nature of the story fell flat. I agree that all the hype was superb, maybe too much so. Maybe without all the hype we could have tolerated the movie better.

Still, I'm anxious to see this one, I mean in a sense this is THE pivotal moment in the whole Star Wars universe.

I think it also would have helped had he employed a screen writer to write the script, and used special effects technology less. I admit, the things they can do with computers nowadays is astounding, but it can't replace the plot, and should never try.

Yes, you did point out that the other trailers were good. I'm pointing out the link between the trailers being good and the movies sucking. I think there will be a lot of disappointed people this time around, too.

That was the point I was trying to make. That the trailers for the others were good too. But we know that they didn't live up to our expectations.
