I shouldn't be online right now but...tonight's ep?

Can I play Kripke bingo or what? It seems like just about everything I want gets done, even if it's not done EXACTLY the way I want it.

Does this mean I'll get Michael coming to Dean as John, but not the way I envision it? We shall see.

Good ep. Jared was funny. And I loved the whole bounty on Dean thing.

One thing I didn't like about the episode is that it took so long for Dean to act. He was obviously suspicious of how Sam was acting, but he waited so so long. I think it's because he just wanted to convince himself this Sam was Sam, and just stay in denial, especially since Gary liked the same music, was drinking with Dean, and saying things that made Dean feel like Sam enjoyed his company/interests. But I know people out there will be slamming him, saying he's dumb. Boo to that.

I had recently stumbled on a spoiler that said Sam and Dean would switch bodies, but I figured that was a foiler (or a script change) because I had seen the preview trailer last week and knew it wouldn't happen. So, I am disappointed about that, but didn't expect it to happen anyway. Kripke always does a twist on fan wishes.

But dang. Would have been cool to see Jared and Jensen play each other. That's the only reason I wanted it, LOL.

It was a good ep though.

And next week's preview/trailer? Without going into specifics, wow. That was a very good teaser for next week.

I too agree-my beef was how long it took Dean to catch on. I convinced myself he was really waiting to make sure, but I admit, it did annoy me a bit. No, I don't think Dean is dumb, but he frustrates me when it doesn't appear he catches on immediately (because he's SMART, we just don't get to see that as much outright).

I too would have loved the Jensen/Jared scenes if they'd swapped bodies. But I'll take what we get. And I can't wait for next week!

They showed him suspicious the whole time, so I'm going with denial and wanting to make sure so if it really was Sam, Sam wouldn't flip out on him and not trusting him and all that.

But I do get frustrated, too, when they make Dean *seem* dumb because he's rather smart. His smarts are just different than Sam's.

Sometimes Gary would pull 'Samisms' too - and but then, Sam's been all over the baord lately, too...

That would have been cool - kinda almost wish I'd seen that.

*HUGS*

I could see that Dean was getting to the point of deciding that Sam wasn't Sam, so that didn't bother me. What bothered me was that after they took the kids back to Gary's house absolutely nothing was said about the fact that Nora killed their other friend (the one who "tastes like moron") while possessed by a demon, the body was still in the basement of the other house, and the only fingerprints that would be found around or near the body would belong to Gary and Nora, so Sam and Dean were basically dropping them off to probably be accused of murder, for which accusation they have no really good defense. And shouldn't Nora be traumatized now by having seen herself kill when she couldn't control her body? (We know that the possessed can remember things like this afterward.)

But hey, Gary, Nora digs you, so have a happy life, you crazy kids!

Er, yeah.

Ooh, yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that. Especially when sam was telling them how great their lives were - I was thinking, "yes, yes, psychological trauma from being possessed and killing a friend, followed by murder and accessory to murder charges....life is good!"

Oh yeah. That bugged me too. SPN has a tendency to have quick wrap-ups, but I've found the ones this year and often last year to be too quick and that means too many loose ends, which makes the boys look sloppy (or the writers).

I try not to think about it since I have no control. Just enjoy what I've got. Just sometimes... ;)

I found it especially irksome because they started off playing this one for laughs (Before we got the reveal in the opening teaser I was saying to my husband and daughter, "When did Sam become such a big dork?") but the position they're leaving these kids in is no laughing matter.

Dean not catching on was just...weird. I'm not the type to get all capslocky over such things, but it was kind of odd. I mean, considering all the strange, strange, stuff they deal with on a daily basis-and how much they live in each others' pockets. If it'd been a fic (and ok, it's practically a cliche), I'd sort of expect to see some sort of incidental head wound excuse.

Nah, I don't get all enraged like I used to do. I just have a high opinion of the writing on the show, so when it wavers, I get a little testy. But then I have to step back, remember I'm not in control, and if something bothers me so bad, go write my own stuff.

Doesn't mean I don't whine about it from time to time though, LOL.

Ah, I wasn't the only one who saw the Dean-Sam swap spoiler. That exclusion did make this ep less interesting for me. It's possible it was originally planned, but then they opted for a mytharc tie-in & just made it Sam... *shrugs* I've been avoiding previews this season.

But I know people out there will be slamming him, saying he's dumb. Boo to that.
Yeah, I kept telling Dean to work it out in my recap. :D He should've cottoned on much sooner.
