Summary: While Sam and Dean continue to fight to prevent the Apocalypse, Dean inexplicably manifests a pair of wings. The brothers must work together to figure out what is happening and reverse the act before the changes overtake Dean completely.
This will be an ongoing series occasionally written out of order, but each story will be indexed in chronological order for ease of reading. This is obviously AU, but will follow show canon as closely as possible. Each story can be read as a stand alone or as part of the ongoing series story arc, unless noted. Please note that some stories are het (Dean/Jo) but since those stories are part of a subplot that only adds another element to the story, you don't need to read them to follow the overall series arc; they are optional. Het fics will be noted for those that want to skip them.
I have separated out the main series (gen) from the optional series (Dean/Jo) for your convenience.

Unforeseen Complications: After three weeks of living with wings, Dean finally reaches Castiel for answers. But Castiel's reaction isn't exactly what Dean was expecting. Follows "Appearances Can Be Deceiving" and is the gen alternative to "Performance Anxiety." Word Count: 2,056. S4. Spoilers: Through Wishful Thinking. Drama, Humor, Angst. Rating: PG-13.
The Waiting Game: Castiel offered a temporary reprieve for Dean, but Sam can't help but wonder what might be next. Follows "Unforeseen Complications." Word Count: 1,004. S4. Spoilers: Through Heaven and Hell. Drama, Humor, Angst. Rating: PG-13.
The Second Deviation - Timing becomes everything when Castiel approaches Sam and Dean with a new mission: find the elusive Watcher before the demons do. As the brothers puzzle over the Watcher's importance, they must contend with Dean's next significant change. Castiel offers his help, but Sam devises his own plan on how to protect the Watcher and save his brother. Follows "The Waiting Game." Word Count: TBA. S4.
