Thoughts on the 5x10 Promo (SPN)

I haven't even talked about the past couple of SPN eps yet, and I go straight to the promo. I never talk about promos. Go figure.



It looks good. I'm really looking forward to getting back to a mytharc episode, even if they make me nervous.

But...Dean kisses Jo? Okay, you all know by now I jumped on that shipper boat. Doesn't bother me in the least. But you know what this means, right? She's as good as dead.

I have a sliver of hope she'll survive, but frankly I fear for Bobby EVER SINGLE EPISODE and he's nearly a regular. If I can fear for him and know he could die at any moment, poor Jo doesn't have a chance.

So I am preparing for the worst. Not sure what prompts Dean to kiss her: if it's a last night on earth thing, to comfort or distract her, or something else completely out of context. I guess we'll see.

I wasn't a fan of how she was written half the time in S2, but I grew to like her. And I love Ellen. Ack. I fear for them! Better start preparing for their end now.

that was my impression too. "Damn, he kissed her, she's totally a goner."

Oh well, at least she'll have one last make out with a good looking guy before she goes.

I sure hope they don't do something like...oh, having her possessed by a demon who then makes a deal with Dean. Because that would be too annoying for words, on so many levels.

I don't think she'll be possessed. In the promo, she looked scared/sad/upset right as Dean was kissing her, so either something terrible just had happened or something terrible was going to happen.

I'll be bummed is she and Ellen are just back to be killed off, but then again I really don't want anyone else to die either :(

Bad guys can die, I'd be alright with that. I'm never as attached to them as everyone else gets.

I was told two 'fan favorites' will bite the dust.

Since Jo is hated by the anti-female fans, and Castiel and Bobby are favorites my money is on them, but I've been decieved by Kripke before, he said in a Sci-Fi Now! mag interview that Ruby was staying and now she's dead.
So it very well could be one or both of the Harvelles but that is so MEAN to bring them back after 2 seasons to just kill them.
I think to make the finale more dire is take away the most strongest supporters of the Winchesters.
I'd hate for any character to die, but having Bobby T_T and their Angel out of the way leaves the Bros more at a disavantage.

I think it would be stupid to bring back Ellen and Jo just to kill them, but I really can't see it being anyone else.

I don't consider Jo a fan fave, and I've already seen a lot of hate spewing forth from the kiss, but you never know. Maybe THEY think she is a fan fave.

I think Bobby's death would have the greatest impact, but omg, I don't want to lose him either! I love me some Bobby.

And to be honest, I don't see Cas going anywhere. I love Castiel and I know a lot of people think he's dying, but Misha is a regular cast member this year.

There's one other character I heard will be in the ep that might fall into this category, but I don't know. I'll be really surprised if Jo lives, or survives in any recognizable form :(

and I too worry that Jo could be considered a fan fav, she is liked by the tolerable fans at least.
but still I think the boys need to face the end alone.
And I dont hate Cas but i think he's stayed long enough. I liked SPN better when it wasnt tied to the Angel plot and even regulars die, its an advantage the writers have and know you wont see coming.
I dont want Bobby gone but if its gonna give the boys the boost they need to kick some devil ass then so be it.

If they're gonna kill 2 out of 4 then they should die for a reason and to further plot and characters not just to kill them for the sake of killing them :( Lucifer has more class than that I hope.

I keep hoping maybe she will survive because everyone is expecting her to die, but really I don't think she has a chance. I'm preparing myself now just in case.

I’m a huge Jo fan I really hope that she will make it. I don’t think that shes a goner, I hope not anyways. I do have some theory of who probably will. Dean and Jo kissing, all have so say is *yay and finally*. Honestly Jo is the only female character I actually like and can see with Dean. I also hpehta its not a pity kiss, tht wuldjst suck majorly.

I don't mind if he's comforting her, as long as he means it too. But I am very very worried that she will die. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I'm going in believing she's toast so that if it doesn't happen, I can be happy. If it does, well I expected it.

I hope you're right, though. If you are and things turn out okay for Jo and Dean (not perfect because well this is SPN, but where she lives and they don't hate each other), I will like rejoice with you and write fic for you or something, LOL.

Well I do understand where your coming from too. I would be really sad if Jo died *cires*, so get why you wanna be propered if anything were to happen. guh this awaing is killing me lol.

LOL, I'm sure I'm not going to like the whole Dean/Jo kiss, but hey, if it's the whole last night on Earth deal, who am I to blame them? You're right, though, any action between Dean & Jo does seem to indicate that Jo is a goner.

I wasn't happy to see that, as I'm not a D/J shipper - but it seems there was purpose and intent in the kiss. I know he loves her -0 but it's always been a more 'sister' thing with me - and Ellen? ADORE her!! *Bites nails*
