First of all, that IS an awesome overview of personality types of members of fandom communities--wow, I've encountered most if not all of them. Well, probably everyone has at least once. *shrugs*

Secondly, the Josh Lyman quote. Yes, I fangirled over the fandom essay because of a West Wing quote--I'm not sure there was a category for that one. ;)

I think it's really easy to spill into being an idiot in fandom. It really depends how you carry yourself. I do think the more laid back you are, the more friendly, and the less wanky you are (general you), than the more enjoyment you have AND the less of a chance you'll look like a moron LOL
