I've been watching Fringe. Still not sold on this show, but I'm giving it a try. I do have to chuckle at how much it's like X-Files though. Even the opening reminds me of my old beloeved show. But there is some Lost through in there as well.

Anyway, I made a few icons. Caps from the Fringe website. Shareable. No comment or credit necessary if you take. I only made a few basic ones because my computer is so not in a good mood.

ooh, they're pretty!

I'm watching Fringe for Walter and Peter. They crack me up -- particularly Walter. :)

I have not heard of this show. What is the premise?

(Also, love the icons. May I borrow with credit?)

Sure, the icons are there for anyone.

It's kind of an X-Files meets Lost type of show. FBI agent and her team investigate bizarre incidents that involve fringe science. Her team consists of a recently released institutionalized genius who was the creator of half the experiments gone wrong, his brilliant but disgruntled son, and her assistant. It's all linked to something called The Pattern and she's never sure exactly who she can trust.

It's not a bad show, but I haven't really been sold on it yet.

Wow! Gorgeous icons! I'm not sold on the show yet, either. Ep 2 was dumb. This week's was okay, but I'm sensing a fairly predictable pattern in the episodes - 1. Horrific crimes occurs; 2. It has something to do with The Pattern; 3. Crazy doc man comes up with some totally bizarre and impossible solution that works; 4. Cute guy snarks here and there; 5. Olivia runs around with her shirt unbuttoned. I'll give it a few more eps to see if I get hooked.

It is very X-files-ish, I agree.

Plus, geez. Boston hs some issues doesn't it? But I get a good laugh considering I know most of the places where these things are happening.

You know, I liked the concept of episode 2 and I felt like it was a pivitol episode, like it's going to come back to haunt us, but the execution was awful. By the end of the episode, I wasn't sure I would tune in this week. And I didn't get invested in the pilot until like 1/2 through.

This week's wasn't bad though. Better than I thought.

it doesn't look standard and predictible, though most shows start that way, to be honest. So I'll give it a chance to find itself and see what happens and try very hard not to keep comparing it to XF LOL

I do love the mesh between nature and math/science they use :)

I was telling my Dad about it and I told him it was rather X-files-esque and that sold him on it.

I rather like it because of Peter & Walter.

I took the Apple icon.

Peter and Walter are the best part. And I like Olivia's assistant. I haven't really warmed up to it, though I'm trying. There have only been three eps so far so we'll see.

I might be so resistent because of my love for XF ;)

There are some things about that make me roll my eyes and go "Didn't the X-Files do this already?" But I was really resistant to Supernatural because it seemed to be such a rip off of Buffy and I ended up loving the show.

Oh, can you tell me how it was last night? I decided to stay with CBS after NCIS and watch this Mentalist show that started (and omg, the pilot was *so* good).

What? Fringe? I didn't realize you were watching it.

The episode I saw was good on Tuesday. It was better than the week before. I don't like gore much and the show is like 10x as gory as XF or SPN. but they toned it down this week and it made it easier for me to watch.

I'm curious to see where they are taking it, but I'm not invested in the show yet.

Yeah, I watched teh pilot and second episode.

Really, you find this show *more* gory than SPN? I can't even make it through the previously ons for SPN! I actually tried the last couple weeks.

Of course, it helps that I do my Sudoku puzzle when I think they're doing autopsy stuff. I find I can't get into Fringe myself. It's not a bad show, it's just...yeah.

Are you kidding? LOL It's way way more gory than SPN. The gore on SPN is generally quick and over in a flash when they do it and SPN didn't go gory until S3. I find Fringe lingers on it. Like the eyeball stuff in the second episode. I almost stopped watching.
