For the record, my fave male character is Clark (though Lex is not far behind). My fave female character is Lois (and Chloe is not far behind again). I have always been a Lois/Clark shipper, but never expected her on SV, so that is an extra treat for me. Though despite my Clois love, I always thought Martha/Jonathan was the best written on the show.

In the end, I really do love all the characters in their own way. I don't even hate Lana. I just questions some of the choices TPTB have made with the show and all of its characters :)

I love SV. It's not my absolute favorite show, but I do like a lot of the concepts and the directions they take. I also hate a lot of what they do too LOL

I picked Martha because I absolutely refuse to participate in the Lana/Chloe/Lois wars. And thats totally ridiculous, because I know this is a completely friendly, benign poll, but thats what SV fandom has driven me to. Its nuts.

But I do so love my Clark. And the only ship I'll vote for is Clex, though Clark/Alicia is the 'ship nearest and dearest to my heart. No matter how whacked out that is.

Considering the strange way I'm choosing to interact with the show, I don't want to mess up your poll with my almost certainly non-canon-based opinions, but I think Chloe/Pete is a great pairing.

It is. I expect my perception is quite distorted, although I won't know until I finally watch. I have seen the pilot episode, but that's it.

My favorite male character is Clark, too. I love Lex, and I even love Jonathan and Lionel and I loved Pete and...I love everyone. lol

But I like Clark a lot...

Chloe is by far my favorite female character, but I am pretty sure I love them all on this show, except for Kara. I know a lot of people don't like Lana and some people don't even like Lois, but I really love them both.

As for ships, I love the Clark/Lex, but I'm not sure I actually ship them except in a sort of fun way, if that makes sense. I would have loved to have seen more of Clark/Chloe (love Lexmas! *g*).

There have been times when Clark/Lana really annoyed me, only because so much of it was lame and didn't make sense, but truthfully I like Lana and I usually think their scenes together are cute, so I don't really dislike that ship and I like it sometimes (without actually being a shipper).

I like Clark with Lois. I think I might like Clark with anyone, male or female. lol I'm not really a multi-shipper at all, but on this show, it has never really bothered me what they did or didn't do with ships.

Oh, and also, Chloe/Lana! They are hot together. lol And I'm usually not into femslash, but I also love their friendship--their relationship.

Also, I don't read fic in this fandom, so this is all just me watching the show and usually just goofing around with lyraeinne about it.

I went through a period of really disliking Lana and then realized what I was doing so I stopped. LOL I mean, it's silly really.

The show suffers the most from a serious bad case of stalling overly done sopa opera like drama. Aside from that, I still think it's a great show. All the characters are enjoyable in their own way :)

I'm really excited for Chloe this coming season. it looks like they are going to give her own storyline and allow the character to really take off :)

I've never disliked Lana, I think partly because of the actress and also even when they've sort of Mary-Sued her *g*, the character herself was still appealing to me, and I never felt like anything they did with her was to the detriment of any other character. It was hurtful only to the character of Lana, and somehow I think that Kristin kept her appealing.

I know a lot of people don't like Kristin's acting, but I actually do. Something about her style appeals to me in the same way that I'm just completely turned off by Kara's actress. It doesn't make sense. It's just a personal thing, I guess. I like Kristin enough that I'd probably at least check out any of her other projects, though I've heard about the movie she's going to be in and it sounds a bit weird. *g* (Okay, perhaps not good? *g*)

I'm a little worried about the upcoming season. No Lex, no Lionel, no Lana, no... What will they have?

But I had no idea about Chloe! If that's the case, then maybe that will make me happy. I may be one of the few that liked her with Jimmy (I'm not really sure how fandom feels), because she's another character that I really, really love enough that anything going on with her is of interest to me--usually. hehe

It's difficult for me to imagine the show without Lex and Lionel, and I actually think the show lost a lot when they killed of Jonathan and then sent Martha away. I know enough of the Superman legend to know that both his parents died while he was still relatively young, but I still loved them both.

Oh man. I'd adore some gag reels :(

Clark is still number one for me. I may not be happy with some of the writing for him, but he's always been my favorite character. What helps me is that I frame it in a way where I remember he is still young (though now by S8 he is old enough to get his stuff together) and he makes dangerous mistakes. And he's been so desperate to be normal that he held onto the fantasy with Lana for so long. That helps me get through the day :)

I've loved Lex too, even though he's been a victim of bad writing as well. Loved the Kents. I enjoy Oliver but don't want him to take over, and I really really am disappointed at the potential Jason had but was wasted. (I like Jensen Ackles.)

Oh well! I'm looking forward to S8 though :)

EDIT: And Clark/Alicia. I loved Clark/Alicia - it was the only pairing I ever really shipped on the show, before Lois.

Oliver/Lois were sweet, weren't they? I loved their storyline in S6. Very comic like :)

I never got behind Clark/Alicia. I may have to watch it again to see if my opinion has changed. I think for me I needed more episodes with her to really get behind it :)

I think I was just so desperate to ship something; I'm a shipper to my core, and Clark/Lana was too wishy-washy for me, while I never really loved Chloe the way I wish I had. I liked Alicia, though, and she was sweet with Clark, and Clark was fun with her, and ... then she died, and I wanted to throw things, but at least by that time we had Lois.

Clark is my favourite man, followed by Ollie. Lex got kinda trashed for me when he was being all evil (YAY) then he suddenly needed to turn around and apologise. Uh, what? There was no consistency to him. :(

Lois followed by Kara. Obviously, mad props to Lady Lane. :D I know a lot of people didn't like Kara but I think that it was because they wasted her a lot.

Favourite ship? Old school Clois. Lois/Oliver after Martha/Jonathan was the best written ship. Because of the aww factor I liked Kara/Jimmy. She's a hot blonde, why wouldn't he be interested?
