Website Update, finally

moonshaydeI've been having one of those days where I'm moody and self-critical. I feel like my writing is crap and I'm never ever going to make it. Sure, I have stories to tell, and stories I feel people would like to hear, but I haven't been gifted with that lovely ability to create gorgeous prose. Gifted prose sells *grumbles to self*
So, I took a break from the story I've been working on ('cause it's crap) and decided to do something mindless instead.
I updated my website.
My website has all the fic I've written on it for Stargate and Supernatural. I haven't updated the awards or links part of the website, but who goes to those anyway? And I'm behind on the art, but since I post my art here I'm in no big rush. I post everything here so I'm never in a rush. Anyway, it was nice to get that out of the way, though.
I don't think I'll be writing a ton of fanfic for either show, or even other shows. I'm swamped with schoolwork and trying to write more original stuff. But it's still nice to have a place other than LJ to keep them posted.
So, Scribal Traditions is semi-updated now. And since I've written enough fic for Supernatural to warrant its own list on LJ, here is the master list. Not really happy with the tweaking, but I never am.
Now I guess I should get back to tackling this story to see if it is salvageable.

Date: 2008-06-29 06:22 pm (UTC)Don't beat yourself up about the writing. Some days feel that way; some days actually go that way. But most of the time, you do know your writing is far from crap, right?

Date: 2008-06-29 06:48 pm (UTC)Like most writers, I am never satisfied. And we all have our weaknesses. Mine is prose. I don't have that way with words, you know? I understand it's my weakness. I don't have the type of prose that really grabs you and takes your breath away. What I do have is decent characters and some interesting stories to tell. I just have to keep working hard.
It just sucks sometimes when the really ugly prose shines through. Heh.
