Writer Challenge

Okay flist. For all of you who write and who are around today, I challenge you to write 500-1000 words today. Do more if you can. I don't care what it is. It could be original fic or it could be fanfic. If it's fanfic, pick a show/fandom. Anything. I don't care what it is. Just write.

Post your Word Count to your journal when you're done and we'll congratulate you.

Then, if you can, meet me online tonight and we can talk about it. Feel free to email me. IM me. (I'm on a few different programs.) Comment here. Whatever works for you.

ETA: If there are enough people, we can have a tenative chat, like a precursor to the chats I have planned for next year. Since this is a spontaneous event, I don't have any kind of format set and it's open to fanfic and original fic. I think most people are on AIM so we'll probably end up there tonight, but for the January related events, we'll come up with something that may be more inclusive (either an independent chatroom or IRC or something else.)

So if you can, pop online 9pm est. If not or you're shy, you can still comment stuff here or message me personally. We just want to all share in the writing fun :)

All right fine, then. ;) You've pushed me into making a start on the story I have in mind. I'm attempting a fun, non-angsty, shortish story.

I'll also have you know that because of the creation of your Jack/Sara community, I'm mentally sketching out a tentative Jack/Sara series of stories. I'm not sure whether to thank you for that or not. (Future potential readers of said stories have the same reaction. *g*)

And there is never enough Jack/Sara fic. We need more. I have a series sketched out, too, but I am slow as molasses. Maybe you'll be faster. In any event, the more Jack/Sara fic the better. I'm sure the internet agrees with me ;)

Hey, this sounds interesting. I could probably write 500 words today. At least I could try. :) I was going to work on a different project, but I'll just change my schedule around and see if I can come up with something to brag about.

I know 500 is a very small amount but a small amount is better than no amount and it adds up over time. So if you can squeeze it in, please do. And then tell us all about it in your LJ :)

Oye, I'll have to see what I can do. I have enough to do with getting the kids to help clean (and earn some workbux), and do some cleaning myself. Toilets/bathrooms are next. Joy, oh boy! Toilets really get my writer mojo going!

I *have* been parsing out the scenes in my 2004 novel Land of the Dead (working title) so I have an outline I can shift around, fill out, and then rewrite.

Well that didn't happen for me. :( Sorry.

Ended up loaning my car to my sister and then cleaning the house like mad. Then went out to dinner with said sister and got home round 10pm or so and headed to bed. Tonight though its nothing but writing proofing editing and writing! yay!
