Thank You, Flist!
Nov. 5th, 2007 12:20 pmI want to thank you for being so awesome. The support
jessm78 received yesterday is a testament of why I love fandom. No matter who you ship or don't ship, it's great to see people come together like that :)
For those that didn't catch this in my comments from
jessm78:
Thank you, hon - I am overwhelmed by the support from other shippers over this stupid flame I got. It is great to know (and to be reminded, I guess) that respectful shippers of other pairings (esp. S/J) do exist. I was just cranky from the long day today and that flame didn't help me too much, so I really appreciate this. :)
And any of you guys who commented on my LJ - *smushy hugs and kisses to you all* :)
Thanks again!

Date: 2007-11-05 05:41 pm (UTC)I got flamed for my long Daniel/Vala piece a while back, and it stung for a moment, until I tracked back to the feedbacker's profile and discovered that they'd written over 100 John/Aeryn fics, had started watching SG-1 only with season 9, and hated Daniel for "being an unnecessary character." WTF? In my experience, the best way to keep negative feedback from bothering you is to consider the source.
Hmmm, I have an idea . . .
