Okay, am watching Sanctuary. It's pretty good. Since this is the type of stuff I normally read/write/enjoy, I know I'd like it. Not sure if I love it yet, but I like it. I'll post my thoughts soon. I just finished webisode 2.
(Just in case you're wondering how I wandered into your eljay...you were mentioned in the "random fandom love" post ...here (http://synecdochic.livejournal.com/155290.html)
I had seen your name around before, so I came to check you out.
Sam is teh most awesome love. And Amanda ain't half bad either! LOL
I've read several of your fics in the past, but either I didn't realize you were on eljay or you just...as you said...slipped under my radar. You're very good. As an author, I mean. Since I don't know you personally, I can't speak to your general goodness. Altho' someone *did* send you love anonymously. That says something, that they bothered. So moonshayde must = love too, I'm sure.
:P

I love Sam too! :) Mind you, I will be up front and honest that I can be critical of the character from time to time, but I am critical with every character. That is the way I am. I love all the characters and I am critical of them at the same time. Only, when I'm critical, I blame the writers ;)
I'm very good at slipping under the radar. Just so you know, I'm fairly gen for the show and I multiship in the fandom. So I slip in and out of different parts of fandom in stealth mode ;) What it boils down to is that if I get an idea for a pairing, whoever they may be and whether I like them or not, I'll write it. I'm all about the fandom love :) Squee!
Sadly, I have not yet met AT and I fear I never will. I've met many of the others, but I wish I could have met her too. I'll live vicariously through everyone else for now.
Amanda doesn't do too many cons in the US anymore. I don't think she enjoys Creation, and they kind of have a lock on the Stargate-specific cons. I first met her, as I mentioned, at their Chicago con in 2004; she did not look happy when she left.
I was fortunate to go to the first GABIT thing across the pond, thanks to a friend or two. Then she was at ShoreLeave in Maryland in '06.
I've seen her twice at Comic-Con, though last year I only got to speak to her by asking a question at the panel. They didn't do formal SG-1 autographs last year. This year they did, but I didn't get one of the lottery tickets; not sure she was signing anyway, as she wasn't at the table when I sneaked a peak. I did get an autograph from her on a Sanctuary promo photo, though; I managed to get a ticket for that at least. And as I posted in my journal, having her look up and show signs of recognition just melted me.
Didn't go to AT2 last year - or to Avalon to see RDA, though I wanted to so badly. I'm hoping she'll do Shore-Leave again one of these days, but I'm going to AT3 next spring - Lord willin' and the creek don't rise nor the devil get in the way!

And I know you! Not personally, but I see your name pop up a lot. I'm always curious, though, are you a Sam fan? I couldn't guess by the name ;)
And btw, I've watched 4 out of the 7-8 webisodes and I am in love with them. I knew I'd like the premise, but I ended up really loving the show :)
