May. 7th, 2007 10:06 pmNot a bad episode. I found it enjoyable with the CTU stuff. Even if they've done this 50 million times already.
Milo is dead. Ugh. Everyone I like dies.
MS...I am thinking they brought him on just to be sexy because so far he hasn't had much to do. Next week looks good though. Oh Bishop, you so bad. I hope that the plot is decent enough. I don't know if Mark Bishop bites the big one yet, so I'll have to wait and see.
Kiefer was doing what Kiefer does best, shooting Jack Bauer style. I think that is what I've missed alot this season is him doing the whole rescue and go after the bad guys bit. Doyle has been that part this year.
Anyway, looking forward to next week. The preview said only two eps left. Aren't there three? Usually the third and second to last episode in every season are some of the best whereas the final ep is the wrap up ep. So it should be good.

Date: 2007-05-08 02:21 am (UTC)I was definitely more disappointed this week. Not as much screen time and not as sexy when he's pressuring her for the sex (also, eager much? didn't she sex him up an hour ago?) Next week's preview...I dunno. I think I don't like my "good guys" going bad.
glad you're liking it - what with you actually knowing the show.

Date: 2007-05-08 02:27 am (UTC)But yeah I watch the show so this is all satndard for me. The only think that I've found dosappointing in terms of MS' role is how he's basically just eye candy and my complaint for the rest of the show this season is that it's too soap opera-y.

Date: 2007-05-08 02:32 am (UTC)He is eye candy - but I would argue he's acting pretty darn well for less than 4 minutes of eye candy. I feel like we definitely have a personality for his character, and that's something. And he obviously knew something was fishy tonight so he's not dumb.

Now, back to my S/D fic as I take a break from studying.

Date: 2007-05-08 02:49 am (UTC)Nope, not nearly enough almost-nekkid Michael. But next week looks promising. One thing MS does very well is to be menacing. With no holds barred in 24 he can go very dark and I think it's going to be very, very good.

Date: 2007-05-08 04:03 am (UTC)I went so far as yelling at the T.V, and calling Michael's character a 'sexpot.' ;p
I really hope there is a future in the role, especially since he does so well with anger and ferocity.
I heard somewhere that MS and Lexa watched the first ep together. It's nice that they're both supportive of each other. :D

Date: 2007-05-08 08:31 pm (UTC)Was it just me, or did that feel like TPTB remembered he left the show alive, so they brought him back to kill him?
MS...I am thinking they brought him on just to be sexy because so far he hasn't had much to do.
Being sexy is something to do. ;)
This season has been pretty erratic and weak in regards to the story arc. It feels like they didn't plot it out in advance and were writing by the seat of their pants. I'm really disappointed because I'm a bit of a Manny Coto fangirl (he's one of the producer/writers).
I've been waiting for Jack's father to show up again, but his logic of "kill lots of people at CTU in order to get to my grandson and take him with me to China" just left me with a great big WTF reaction. Is he crazy enough to really think the kid is going to happily go with him after all he's been through? To China, no less? He's already a sulky teen, so this isn't exactly going to sway him.
And why the huge rush, but with apparently a lot of build up needed to get there? I understand the Chinese want out quickly before CTU catches them, but they've already got a stockpile of weapons ready to take over CTU when they can't have had Bauer Sr. for very long? A few more hours and they'd have both been home and wouldn't have needed the heavy artillery to get to him.

Date: 2007-05-08 10:13 pm (UTC)And then when it's over, I have S1 to watch. I am very excited. I didn't even know Milo was in it until i looked at the box.
Here's a thought, though, to add to the plot holes and stuff. If every season is a random day, why do we always have the same people usually from season to season? People have different shifts. They could bring in new cast all the time without killing them all off and make it believeable. I think it would be more beliveable if they did that than just killing everyone off. One of these days have to fall on one of the character's days off.

Date: 2007-05-09 12:59 am (UTC)I think the usual reason so many are the same from season to season is because once the action gets going, no one wants to leave, or they can't leave. There have been times new agents come into the mix, such as Doyle joining in at around the midway point. Or characters who were away from CTU for various reasons being brought back in.
But it's much like Star Trek, in which you might have a second shift on deck when a problem comes up, but it immediately switches over to the primary shift.
