Under the moonlight, she caught him and dragged him onto her back porch. Their kiss was new, fresh, but encapsulated years of memories and loves long past. Eager and yielding, they glistened like heavenly bodies ready to collide in a brilliant merger not unlike that of a super nova.

The distance had hurt – she had missed his gentle touches, his soothing voice, his kind yet comforting smile. She had never realized until the distance had given her an ache like no other.

"I've missed you," he said, his breath hot on her skin.

"I've missed you, too."

She was home.

Oh, that is sweet! Short and to the point and just...cute and sweet. Not a 'shipper, as you know, but I still like a bit of it here and there, and understated is a nice way to go with it.

You probably wouldn't believe me after all the ship fic I've been writing (and I haven't even posted some of it yet) but I am very much a gen person. But I go through spurts when I want to write something different and I'll tackle some ship pairings or Jack/Daniel slash. And I only do the slash because I don't like what's out there. LOL

I'm actually not a gen person by nature, just for this show. I 'ship my li'l butt off in my other fandom, at least in what I write, and I don't mind it in this one if it's well-written. Heck, I might end up doing some of it eventually, you never know. I just don't really see it in the gateverse so much. I love too many other aspects to care about if anyone's sleeping with anyone else. It's actually gonna be kind of weird...writing stuff with no smut in it. O.o

I've always shipped for other shows. I see SG-1 as very much a gen kind of universe. Anything I have written or joke around with is just projction, as far as I'm concerned.

I need less smut in this universe so get cracking.
