Ditto what she said. I've not been able to get much into SG-1 fandom (despite having a serious addiction to SPN/SG-1 crossovers*), but that was lovely.
As happy-go-lucky as I was with the show's Jack/Sam shipping, I did always did like the hints of tragic love and loss there was with his ex-wife.
