SPN 5x10: Abandon All Hope

Okay, so it's over.



Excellent episode. Heart-breaking. Probably one of their best. And really, Ellen and Jo got one of the most heroic and worthy send-offs this show can give. The only other death on this show that truly moved me was John Winchester's.

That said I am very very sad, both as someone who recently came to ship Dean/Jo and as someone who loves all the characters from a gen perspective. I really wanted them to survive at least until the end of the series. We don't have many cool female characters around.

The shippy side of me felt validated that they both loved each other, but was heartbroken they never had a chance.

I'll get over it. I have no control over the story, but right now, today, I am very very sad. I'll have to take a break from fic for a little while until the good drama wears off, but at least it was an intense episode filled with heart.

You just summed up how I feel perfectly. Probably one of their best episodes of all time, but oh did it hurt. It hurt so much. Maybe a 2 month hiatus after this isn't such a bad thing. Time to regroup, heal, get ready for the rest of the season. *sighs*

See, THIS was the reason we had so many light-hearted eps in a row. They knew this ep was coming and that we would all DIE OF WOE if we'd had more angst before this. Holy crap intense...

Oh, they did. They really did. God... I bawled like a baby. And then the end, with him just staring at her until she burned away... God. I'm gonna cry again just thinking about it.

I need some Dean/Jo icons. They were always so great together.

the ep almost made me cry that's how intense it was! and i'm not the kind of person that cries unless under A LOT of stress :(

i'm the same. i shipped Dean/Jo from the start, and i also loved Ellen and Jo to bits. i'm so sad they're gone *sniffles*
