Observation on Changing Channels

This is a non-spoilery question, so I'll leave it above a cut. It's just be niggling at my brain.

When I was rewatching this episode, I noticed that Dean wasn't wearing his usual ring and bracelet thing. It was conspicuously absent, considering he's worn them since S1, with maybe the exception of an episode or two where he couldn't wear it, like when he was in the hospital or in prison. Most likely AU eps, too.

So the fact they weren't in this episode at all really surprised me. I wonder why they didn't bother with them in this episode. Too much continuity work with all the changes in scenes/clothes/costumes? I just guess after missing the amulet so much, I've grown attached to everything else. I hope they come back. It really adds character to Dean.

I saw the promo for next week, but I didn't get a good shot of his hand. Yes, I am a pathetic fan, LOL. (See? In the mood theme? They are almost always there!)

Yep, I made the same observations, it's kind of strange to think that FutureDean from 2014 wasn't wearing it either...

I'm really not sure what to make of it and now I'm wondering if there are many more episodes where this has happened and I just didn't notice it.

I really don't see it as a continuity problem, he could have worn it in all the TV show scenes without any problem and I'll be very sad to hear if this is how it will be from now on as I miss the amulet very much and now it's this sort of "God radar" I'm not sure we'll see it again. :(

I didn't notice that future!Dean didn't have it. Huh.

Dean was wearing his bracelet and ring in "The Curious Case of Dean Winchester." So he's had it as late as 5x07.

I know it's all very silly, but I don't want the ring (or the bracelet) to be gone. They've been a part of Dean for so long that the idea they are gone makes me sad. I miss the amulet terribly.

I noticed that Dean!2014 wasn't wearing them, but I always pictured that if Dean ever stopped wearing them, it'd be for a reason that we'd see on the show.

So, I really hope it was just a continuity mistake. I guess we'll have to wait for next week to find out. I'm not sure why Dean would just stop wearing them, unless Jensen developed an allergy to silver and skull bracelets overnight :P

Seriously? Are there scene where Jensen doesn't have them on? That would make sense if they disappeared with Chad Everett LOL

No, Jensen has them on in that ep, but if Chad did his scenes after Jensen, maybe he just walked off with them and nobody had the heart to tell him to give them back. It's one theory, anyway. :P

Or! Maybe Michael kidnapped Dean and put a clone in his place and just forgot the minor details!!!
