moonshaydeYes, you read the title right. No, I haven't lost my mind. I'm still all about the Winchester family and the brothers Sam and Dean. I just decided, what the heck?
With Season 5 upon us and many guest characters returning to the show, I thought it was time for a couple of more friending memes. Today I wanted to a host a little Dean/Jo Friending Meme.
I don't consider myself a hardcore shipper and I'm in no way a diehard, but as time has passed I've warmed up to the idea of Dean/Jo. I don't need to see it on screen, but when it's hinted at I don't complain. I thought it would be nice to meet some other people that liked the pairing and since Season 2 passed ages ago, it would be a nice way for new fans and old fans of Dean/Jo alike to meet each other.
Please beware there could be Season 5 spoilers through 5x02 in the comments. I ask to not spoil anything past the currently aired episode please.

Favorite characters: DEAN! I am such a Deangirl. I also love Sam, John, Bobby, Castiel, Ellen, Mary and many others.
Least favorite characters: Bela and Ruby
What do you like best about the show? Sam and Dean's relationship, the urban legends, the Winchester family aspect (and Bobby by extension), Dean and Cas sorta friendship, angels and demons, the humor (come baaaack), and just how it all comes together :)
Besides Dean/Jo, do you like any other pairings? I like John/Mary and I kinda like Castiel/Anna, but not really in a romantic way. I like them more in a "love that can't be named and is deeper than physical" way. And of course, Dean/Impala ;)
Do you Wincest? No.
RPF? No.
Spoilers or no? NO. Sometimes I peek, but I prefer to be the one to make the choice.
What are you hoping for in Season 5? I want the brothers to heal as best they can and come back together so they can screw the demons and the angels to fight to save humanity as they kick it in the Impala ;) And Jo and Ellen came back!
DEAN/JO & FANDOM
When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? It wasn't until I wrote a fanfic based on a Dean/Jo idea that I started to ship them. I never hated Jo, but I didn't like how they were trying to force the two on the show. When the writers changed their approach in BUABS, I really started to like her. She had seemed to grow some and I was surprised how much I enjoyed Jo and Dean/Jo scenes in that episode. I was sad that TPTB wrote her out at that point.
Why do you ship Dean/Jo? I guess I ship more the potential of Dean/Jo. I think when she was introduced it was "wrong time, wrong place." He was grieving for his dad, and she was young and inexperienced. I like to think that as time passes both of them will mature and rediscover each other.
Do you ship on the show or just in fandom? Based on my answer above, you can see I ship more of an ideal than on the show.
What kind of Dean/Jo fans are you trying to meet? I prefer Dean/Jo over all other Dean ships, but since I love my gen more than anything, I guess I am looking for not so much hardcore fans, but fans that love the whole show and just happen to have a love of Dean/Jo as part of that mix :)
Do you write/read any SPN fanfic? Create art? Vids? I like to watch vids and look for art, but I do make my own art and write fanfic. The majority of my fanfic is gen, though I write some Dean/Jo on the side. I don't read as often as I like, and I tend to read stuff from friends because I am picky about writers writing the characters like they would be on the show.
Do you create anything for Dean/Jo in fandom? I'm writing a series that has a Dean/Jo romantic subplot. I make some icons.

Likes: WRITING. Uh, academic stuff. Music.
Dislikes: People who count comments to validate they are loved. People who believe their views are right and belittle everyone else. People posting spoilers outside of a cut or who bait people. And passive aggressive people who try to make themselves feel superior by harshing other people's squee.

What would you rather not have on your flist? I can't say this enough, but I'm really looking for non-wanky people and those that don't complain about every little thing on the show. I don't slash for this fandom, either, and I'd really rather not have Wincest and RPF on my flist. I'm sick of "Sam doesn't get enough screen time" or "Castiel sucks" or "Dean doesn't treat Sam right" or whatever the topic is for the day. I also don't stalk actors.

Anything else? I mainly babble about SPN and writing. Like I said before, I'm mostly a GEN person, but I do have a soft spot for Dean/Jo. I just want people who like the show, can have a civil conversation, and whom I can get to know as friends.

When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? Since I saw Simon Said, maybe it was Everybody Loves a Clown, I was starting to watch the show and marathoning seasons 1-3.
Why do you ship Dean/Jo? They are cute together and personality wise, they work together. Imagining their spats makes me giggle.
Do you ship on the show or just in fandom? In the show as well, have you ever seen the way he looks at her?
What kind of Dean/Jo fans are you trying to meet? Friendly and fun ones. I like to discuss things and see where it leads us.

Favorite characters: Dean is number one with me, but I also love Sam, Castiel, Bobby, Anna, Jo, Gordon, and I could go on.
Least favorite characters: Bela and new!Ruby, simply because I feel like Ruby kind of lost all her interesting qualities in season 4.
What do you like best about the show? Everything? My mom introduced me to the show, saying that it was practically made for me. When I finally watched it, I realized how right she was. The lore, the music, the funny adorable brothers, just... everything!
Besides Dean/Jo, do you like any other pairings? Dean/Impala is my crack/serious OTP. I also adore Castiel/Anna.

What are you hoping for in Season 5? It's hard to say, because at the moment I'm just lost in the story that's being told. Not to mention my dream already came true! JO CAME BACK!

When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? The first time I saw them interact, no joke. For the first time, a chick wasn't impressed with Dean's come-ons. That's pretty amusing to me, and I like that she wasn't afraid to poke a little fun at him.
Why do you ship Dean/Jo? I honestly feel like Dean is just afraid of Jo because she has the potential to relate to him too much and get under his skin where no woman really has before. So it's that potential that keeps me shipping them.
Do you ship on the show or just in fandom? Both. I am able to suspend disbelief for all kinds of unspoken feelings between them, and the fanon for those two is quite enjoyable as well.
What kind of Dean/Jo fans are you trying to meet? Any kinds, really. I feel like I hardly know anyone who ships them, and I need more of that on my flist. ;)
Do you write/read any SPN fanfic? Create art? Vids? Yes, yes, and no. "No" on vids because I'm not a very good vid maker and I find it kind of time consuming. Though I love watching them!
Do you create anything for Dean/Jo in fandom? I've written one fan fic, but thanks to last night, I have another in mind. I've also been known to make icons, and I hope to do more of that, too.

When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? Hmmm I think the scene responsible was in season 2's "Simon Said" when Dean's singing "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" I blame that scene entirely.
Why do you ship Dean/Jo? I like them as any type of relationship, I found their dynamics & chemistry interesting and entertaining.
Do you ship on the show or just in fandom? I just thought it was a cute idea, and when I read that Jo was intended to be Dean's Love interest (I'm a sucker for canon) I opened my self up to it then found out they dismissed the idea or something :( teasers!

I am not hardcore, but I would have given them a chance and after the 502 I think Jo has still a soft spot for Dean :)

Why do you ship Dean/Jo? Well, they are so cute. They know the business so they don't have to lie each other. Jo could be the only person who understands Dean's love and bound for his brother.

What do you like best about the show?Everything. The mythology, the relationships. Mostly the bond between Sam and Dean because I'm close to my siblings so I know what it's like when they fight or are happy and are just getting along.

Favorite characters: Ed & Harry (OMG it's kind of sad that I love them more than Sam & Dean), Dean, Cas, Jo, Katie!Ruby, Ellen, Ash, and I love Hendrickson as well.
Least favorite characters: Not a big fan of Anna, I know a lot of people like her but i just could never really get into the actress, idk. Sam also, I mean he was cool the first season but then he just became kind of the whiny nagging brother. Don't get me wrong, I still like him, but he's my least fave out of the show. Ruby 2.0 (ugh), and I think that is it.
What do you like best about the show? I'm a huge Buffy nut, so to me the first thing would have to be the mythology behind each demon/ghost/monster, and then of course the amazing writing that they have going on. It's been completely consistent that 5 years with a few small plot holes but nothing major. I like how they started it off with just the guys hunting things looking for their father and now it's basically an all out war between good and evil. And of course, how could we not say one of the best things about the show is JENSEN ACKLES!
Besides Dean/Jo, do you like any other pairings? Dean/Cas, but only in that bromance kind of way. Like Barney and Ted on 'How I Met Your Mother'. They are bros forever and always.

Spoilers or no? OMG NO! I try to stay away from spoilers for as long as possible. In fact, I still haven't seen last nights episode, so I'm like refusing to go on twitter, and ignoring my friends page until it gets done downloading so I can watch it.
What are you hoping for in Season 5? More Jo & Ellen, some Dean/Cas bonding time, and possible some sexy time between Lucifer and some random chick, cause dayum, Lucie is HAWWWWT.

Why do you ship Dean/Jo? I don't ship them in the "love" way, I more ship them in the best friends way. I think Dean looks at Jo as like a little sister, and even though Jo has a crush on Dean she really looks up to him.

What kind of Dean/Jo fans are you trying to meet? Any! I guess, as long as you aren't certifiably nuts then I'm down with everyone.

Favorite characters: That is a very difficult question.
Least favorite characters: You know even the ones I hate, I LOVE to hate, lol.
What do you like best about the show? The way it completely draws you in and even some of the more "minor" characters you can't help but really love and worry about. It makes me think about the plot in a way I haven't done since the XFiles, it's constantly surprising me.
Besides Dean/Jo, do you like any other pairings? I'm kind of in this really hardcore super friends ship over Dean and Cas. Like not they need to bone but they need to go fight crime together or something.

What are you hoping for in Season 5? Well I already got my long shot wish with Jo and Ellen last night. Other than that to see Sam and Dean work their way through their issues, see them both find some peace with what happened to them to this point (Dean's time in Hell, Sam's addiction).

When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? She punched him and it was hot.
Why do you ship Dean/Jo? See above, lol. Other than that I think they'd be good for each other. They know what it's like to loose people they love to hunting, they both know what it's like to live in that world. She would never fall for him and then call him crazy like she who should not be named.
Do you ship on the show or just in fandom? More in the fandom just because I think there's not really enough space on the show to add a relationship for either Winchester. But hopefully if her and Ellen come back we can at least get some more awkward hey's that scream of unresolved sexual tension.

What are you hoping for in Season 5? I know they had do continue the whole Dean and Sam angst, but I'm really growing tired of it. I'd really like to see Ellen and Jo at least once or twice again this season.
DEAN/JO & FANDOM I mostly blame the NO EXIT episode for the anti-Jo movement in season 2. That episode just didn't work. Jo's constant presence was too much and I didn't see the chemistry between Dean & Jo that I adored so much in ELAC and Simon Said. Also, Dean WAS treating her like a little sister this episode (ignoring the 'clean the pipes' comment), he was talking down to her a lot.
When did you first start to ship Dean/Jo? Hmm, probably after watching youtube vids and then moving on to fanfic. Then I watched season 2 and LOVED their intro ('God I hope that's a gun')
