She had never intended for it to happen.
Sam stood in the park across from his office. For the past hour, she had watched personnel file in and out, hoping to catch his face.
When Sam had learned he was nearby, she knew she had to see him.
Malcolm Barrett exited the office building. She had discovered that he was FBI in this timeline, but even here he remained clean-cut and business-like.
She never knew before how much she missed it.
And she knew right then if she could change time, she would make sure never to miss it again.
