There is a SPN friending meme going around, but this one is for non-wincest. So if you are looking for some non-wincest friends, it's a good place to check out. To be clear, though, it's not a "bash Wincest" friending meme and the original poster is adamant to keep it that way. It's just for people who aren't really into that sort of thing. And while I honestly don't like Wincest at all, I have some very lovely people on my flist that like it so please no attacking them. They are awesome people.

I saw that... I think it's a good idea, but the wording of it is a little problematic. It totally reads like Wincest-bashing, even though it's not.

I know. That is why I had to put a disclaimer in front of it. Because when you go to the original entry, you can tell it's not about bashing at all. But you don't get that vibe from the actual title.

Thanks so much for the heads up on this. I seriously have been looking for something like this. I'd love more non-slash friends... I keep having to scroll quickly past all the "OMG!! They are SOOOO in love and dating and if you don't believe it you're insane!!" posts on my Friends page (no offense to my slash friends... just being honest *g*).

So, I'm kind of new to the Supernatural fandom, and I saw your profile on a pre-hiatus friending meme. I confess I stopped to read it primarily because of your age (I am like a senior-citizen in this fandom) but I liked a lot of what you said. You seem to be very fair-minded, and we seem to have similar views on Wincest. In all seriousness, I understand what you mean. This fandom is very very young. I think it has a lot to do with the CW itself. The fandom makes me feel old and from what I am inferring you are older than me. The last fandom I came from the norm was late thirties - late forties/early fifties so I was a baby in that fandom.

I checked out your profile and I'll friend you back. I've been a bit whiny lately (real life crap) so you can just hand wave those posts and move past those if you like. It's just the ongoing saga of me trying to break into the education profession when the economy tanked. Joy.
