I had a little bit of a mini-marathon as I breeze through Dark Angel. My comments will be brief since the episodes all kind of blend together in my head right now.
C.R.E.A.M.
I didn't like this one so much. The funny parts with Original Cindy and Max were good. I don't really have much to say about it. LOL
411 on the DL
Now this one I enjoyed. Any episode with Zack, I have decided I love. I really enjoyed the parallel on his style vs Max's style. I kind of felt bad for him, but his protective nature for her was really sweet, even if a bit misguided.
Prodigy
Loved this one. Lots of Lydecker so lots of fun. I really loved the entire set up on this one. And to have him right there at the conference and not know it was her? That was really cool. Felt bad for the little boy, though.
Cold Comfort
This is another one of my faves. I think this one, Prodigy, and (surprisingly) Heat have been my faves so far. Oh, and Pollo Loco which I've already seen. Anyway, anything that has to do with the kids that escaped or Max's past intrigue me, so this hit all the right places. It was angsty and heartfelt. Love that so many of the X-5's are having massive issues. Lydecker continues to rock.
Blah Blah Woof Woof
This wasn't a bad episode. Zack made it instantly better. But they sort of lost me with that stupid dreamy dance scene. I was enjoying it just fine until we hit that spot. I like ship and romance just as much as the next girl, but that just struck me as extremely cheesy. The scene between her and Logan was fine without having the evening gown competition inserted inside. But I enjoyed everything else about the ep.
Out
I liked it. I enjoyed the whole Eyes Only reveal and how Bling and Max worked together. That was interesting.
Red
Okay, I didn't really like this episode. I like humor, but it felt weird. I think Jessica Alba does humor just as well as her pouty angst, but Bruno really annoyed me. I liked the scenes with his kid, but I don't know. This episode didn't really ring true to me.
So, overall I'm really enjoying how the series builds on itself so far. I like that we keep going back to old episodes for plot points and I enjoy anything that deals with the escaped X-5's and Lydecker the most. At times, I feel like the show is trying to figure out what it wants to be: comedy, drama, romance, and doesn't quit pull off just the right balance. But despite that, I am enjoying the show way way more than I thought I would. It's too bad I missed the fannish boat on this one!
