Yes, I am weak.
The following is a link to an interview with Kripke. Spoilers/teasers for the direction of S4 within. You have been warned.
TV Guide Interview
meg_tdj and I have been discussing speculation for S4 at some length. I've also been reading the journals of other people on my flist. I swear, it looks like just about everyone's spec is right in some way.
As much as I had this evil secret wish that Dean might be a little bit demon, I knew they wouldn't do it. Not when Kripke prizes him as being the human one. If it stays that way is anyone's guess, but I figure that will continue. But we should get some darn good acting from JA with all the PTSD he'll be experiencing.
I am curious about the ongoing mystery and the amount of time he'll be spending in Hell, both normal time and Hell time. I hope they do that justice. I am a little annoying about the memory wipe AGAIN, but at least they will be exploring it this time.
And Sam. Interesting. I'm not a fan of evil!Sam, but they really need to do something about thepower issue. I still think this will be the main arc of the series (the will he, won't he) but they have to start stepping it up. So while it looks like he's promising Dean he won't go that way, there is a good chance he starts exploring it. Maybe he's the reason Dean comes back. Maybe he's not. But I'm glad they are going to touch upon it a little more. At least I hope so.
More Rufus yay!
Anyway, I am really excited for S4. It sounds fantastic. I hope we get twists and turns for both characters. And even though the brothers sound like they will have some issues with each other, I'm looking forward to it. Conflict means good drama and in the end they'll reconcile anyway.
I can't wait for September :)
