Procrastination again!

Snagged from everywhere.

01. Post this on your journal.
02. Your friends will comment with some of your fandoms and/or characters from said fandoms.
03. In a new post (or in comments) respond back with one or two of your unpopular opinions for that fandom and/or characters from said fandoms.

Oooh, what an intriguing meme. Wow, so many to choose from!

Hmm...how about Supernatural.

I'm not sure if these are popular or unpopular so...

1. I like Ruby.

I do. I don't have any problem with her. She fits the plot for this season just fine, and her eps have been few and far between. She's not my fave character - not even close. But her presence does not detract from my enjoyment of the show.

2. I have no problems with Dean's characterization in S3.

I find his characterization in S3 is consistent with the previous seasons and his reactions are appropriate for what he is going through. I don't need him to be badass all the time. (Though I miss it.) He's in a bad state and he's been dealing with it in a variety of ways. And I do feel he already is very important to the show and its mythos. He just is in a different way than Sam :)

Oh, you're bad. Then again, I don't have a lot of activity here on my journal anyway ;)

1. The artsy crazy stuff detracts from the core of the show. I know a lot of people exhalt this as the show's defining feature. In many ways they are right - when I think farscape I think of crazy. But when you get down to the core of the story they are trying to tell, their best eps are the ones that focus on character and action. it's not the crazy atrsy wild stuff. It's not the crack. It's the emotion and the consequences for the characters' actions. Unfortunately, that gets lost amidst everything else.

2. I have no delusions of grandeur that just because I watch Farscape, I am enlightened in ways no one else can imagine. I get that vibe from the fandom a lot, and it's been a big turn off for me.
