Attention X-Files Fans!

It's been a long long time since we've had The X-Files on TV. stargazercmc and I miss it. We've noticed other people miss it, too.

So after some planning, we've decided it was time to bring back The X-Files. We're hoping you'll be able to join us.

trustno1_redux is an LJ community with the purpose of rewatching the series. Modeled after redial_the_gate (thanks mods!), the community will be a place for fandom fun, episode discussion, and meta. We kick things off on October 13th with fandom related squeeing and fun while episode recaps will be on Mondays and meta posts on Wednesdays.

If you're as excited as we are, please check out the community and settle in by introducing yourself. Also, please check out the FAQ page, and go to the Season One Sign Up Post for details on how you can make the community great. We've started to include some links and an X-Files Primer, which we'll continue to expand as the community grows.

I want to join, but I've not got the eps yet (except for a random few, buried on self-recorded videos... somewhere). Do you think it'll matter? I can probably remember a lot of it, particularly about the first season - and at some point I am going to buy the DVDs...

HEY! OMG, reading your Season 1 ep list, it just struck me - Don S. Davis plays Scully's dad! I know he's an actor who's in a lot of things filmed in Vancouver for the last 30-ish years, but... Hammond is Daddy Scully!!! *has been made unnecessarily gleeful*

(And also, oh how I love Season 1 of the X-Files. I'd quite forgotten just how many eps there are that I adore beyond reason. I may have to go buy it.)

Oooh, me like!
I want to but I've already sold my soul to the Farscape-ness [I've not watched more than 1/2 season 1 and I simply *must* find out what the hoohah is all about!]. I fear if I do the same with X-files, and I really do want to, together they will eat my life whole.

On the other hand, I flicked over onto Season 6's Trevor by accident the other day and I was reminded of how awesome Mulder and Scully really are.
So...to x-file or not to x-file?
