Smallville's back! Woohoo!

OMG. So cool. I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this episode.

First of all, kudos to TW for his seocnd shot at directing. I thought he did a bang up job. And the actors were on their game for this eppie even though there was so much ground to cover.

Basically, FOTW's gossip column at the DP gets everyone in trouble; Lois zeros in on the Green Arrow's identity; Chloe gets to play the heroine.

Good Points

--Everyone's stories' paralleled. The theme was basically "secrets and lies."
--Character development
--Chloe rocked (I think I love her again!)
--Jimmy and Lois teaming up
--Chloe telling off Clark and Clark being mature about it!
--The entire Clark/Lois/Oliver/Jimmy plotting aspects. Oh, the trickery
--The kiss. Priceless.
--Superhero stuff (Loved the point where Clark fumbled for the arrows. Nice touch)
--The Lois/Clark/Chloe scene. Chloe was a riot and I loved Clark's face when Lois talked about the kiss.

Bad Points

--Tori Spelling. Ugh
--Another FOTW
--The end scene with Lex and Lana.
--Not enough Lex
--Tori Spelling
--And Tori Spelling

I'm not so much a Tori Spelling fan. Strangely, her bad acting and camp sort of worked. Maybe because her name was a dumb one, like Linda Lake. The use of L.L. just cracked me up.

But this has to be one of the best eps this season. I loved when Lois was faking the thugs attacking her. The smashing cellphone thing? LOL So Lois. In fact, I loved all of Lois' scenes. The moment of vunerablity she hated when she talked about possibly loving Ollie to her meeting Jimmy in secret to her botched attempt at ensnaring the Green Arrow. All so good.

And Chloe was just fantastic in this episode. I haven't been feeling the Chloe love lately, especially since I felt her character was going no where. She's always been fantastic, but I wasn't overly fond of her in S4-S5. This season I'd just given up. But now we have some drama for her character and she's standing on her own two feet. It's great.

Not much Lex which makes me sad. His character needs a serious boost. I don't mind the Lexana stuff. In fact, I'm fine with it. I think it needs to be scaled down just a tad, though. I'd rather see the psychology behind it and we don't get much of that. And I want to see Lex doing otrher things aside from Lana.

I enjoyed Lana in this episode. She seemed so much more mature (for the most part). And the Clark/Lana/Lex stuff didn't bother me like I thought it would.

Jimmy was a hoot. Oliver didn't do much.

And Clark was great. However, as much as I'm loving Season 6, I still feel like Clark is getting regulated to the back of the bus. He's the lead character. the stories should revolve around him more.

And maybe that is why I'm excited for next week. It's all about Clark :)
