Decisions. Choices. Compromise. These were areas where she was supposed to show her expertise. She was a leader, a woman on a path for peace and discovery.
She had made it her mission in life to rise above war, using words and compassion to show men their commonality through humanity. Torture, slavery, and murder – these were all unnecessary deviations that could be overcome through talk and negotiation.
Yet, even then she knew it was all just a fantasy. She knew the day would come. But she had never expected through all her decisions and choices that she would compromise herself.
