Baby Birds!

We've been watching a mommy robin for a couple of weeks now as she set up camp in the bush outside our front window. The babies have been growing and we knew they were about ready to leave.

This morning there is only one left and he's perched on the edge of the nest.

Fly, baby, fly!

Now I'm all afraid he's get problems or something.

FLY!

Nope there's always one that wants to hang out for a bit, get the lay of the land so to speak.

*hugs*

You sound like me! I get worried about the little anoles around the house! (Outside, mostly. It's a problem if they're inside.)

Aw, how adorable! We have a baby cardinal in our back yard. The other day he was squeaking his head off on our deck. Then the dad appeared with food for him. We've seen him learning to fly and the other day they were all agitated because there was a cat around. We shooed him away, but I hope they'll stay safe.

I was sitting outside reading the other day when suddenly a small baby bird came flowing down from somewhere above. For next hour or so the bird mom flew around the yard with the baby bird in tow until, finally, the baby bird could keep in the air long enough to move back upwards. Was the cutest thing :)

I'm sure your baby is gonna fly soon. Reminds me of the Hunchback of Notre Dame when Quasimodo asks the little birdie "is today the day?"... n'awww.

Aww, baby birds! That sounds adorable! I'm sure he'll fly soon. :)

We used to have a hanging plant outside our house and every year, this bird used to come and lay her eggs there and we'd see them hatch and everything. :D

How he's doing now? I hope it won't be long before we get to see those wings soaring to the sky!
