Smallville 8x09: Abyss

Just some brief thoughts on the episode.



I'm not sure if it's because I've had a bad week or not, but I wasn't overly enthused for this episode. I generally really like the Chloe-centric eps, too.

The episode was well acted. AM did an amazing job as usual. Clark was absolutely fantastic, though I hate that he did the Supermanly "do it for your own good" thing on Chloe. (I hated when he did that in the movies to Lois.)

Davis was cool. Liked the Clark and Jimmy moments. I bought the child actors as Chloe and Clark. Wished we had a Lois mention.

Kind of bummed Chloe doesn't know the secret anymore, but I figure she'll learn it back later in the season.

Clark and Jor-El? Now that was awesome. I swear the writers have a checklist of complaints from the fans and are going one by one.

I guess we'll see what happens next week.

I agree about Clark and Jor-El, too. If the mind-wipe hadn't happened, I'd be pretty happy with this ep, despite lack of Lois. The rest was really good. :)

I thought this episode was well acted too! Allison was really believable and my heart broke for poor Clark.

I loved the Clark & Jor-El scenes! This Jor-El is awesome. :D
