I'm going to be posting a couple of promised drabbles tonight. This one is for gunhilda who wanted something with Sam whumped. This is as close as I could get so I hope you like.

In the darkest hour, Sam would find the warmest memory and hold it tight.

But not today. Not on the forgotten star.

Teal'c weakened, Daniel semi-conscious, and she was immobile, the white fire throbbing through her broken leg. Her team was in shambles.

The power of her memories could not light the dark of this forgotten star.

Nonetheless she tried. As she held her friends close, she bit back the pain, knowing General O'Neill would search for them somehow, someway.

Until then, she would endure this bitter world and hope they didn't become a lost memory on the forgotten star.
