SGA News
I'm kinda not surprised, actually.
So apparently SGA is getting cancelled. You know, when it first started up I didn't think it would last very long, especially with the casting changes happening early in the series. But then it seemed to be going on pretty strong around S2 and S3 even if I didn't like it. At that point, I figured they were going to press for five season. That seems to be the magic number for tv shows to better syndicate.
I do give the show credit for lasting longer than I intially thought it would, though. And it sounds like they want to do movies, so any SGA fans will at least have that.
Sorry, guys. It always sucks when you shows get cancelled. :(

But yeah, the show's ratings are steady from last year, but now with that DVR number, are actually 30% higher, so ratings wise, I don't know what more could've been done.
I really think it was that magic 100 episode number that happens at the end of this season. I think it becomes diminishing returns for a network to continue it after that.

Yeah, 100 episodes is when a show is considered to have a shot at a decent syndication life too, isn't it? Definitely a cold business decision.
