SPN: 3x02 The Kids Are Alright
I actually stuck around to watch it tonight.
The brothers weren't together too much this episode, but I quite enjoyed it. I knew that the kid wouldn't be Dean's, but be a vehicle for him to consider where his life has been and where its going. He knows he doesn't have much longer to live. I thought it worked great as a follow-up to the premiere. Dean is trying to hide what is really going on inside. This episode we started to see that facade break.
I can't say I'm surprised. I'm in the minority that wasn't bothered by last week's Dean or the episode itself so this week seemed like a natural extension.
As for Sam, he is also doing what I expected he would do - keep on finding a way to help Dean. Also, I like that they are bringing the mom thing back into play which they started to set up last season. I just hope they don't mess it up and make it stupid.
The kids were creepy and the women playing the mothers did a bang up job.
meg_tdj looks like you were right - the girl's a demon and she has a way of saving Dean. I'm not sure how they are going to play this up, but I hope it's done well. This tpype of storyline can go south fast, but it has a lot of potential.
Anyway, I thought it was a good episode. Next week's? Eh. We'll see.

So far the show as done good with its continuous storylines, so I have faith they'll handle this one well (with the mom and stuff).
You're right - the moms really did do a good job. Though how a single mom like that could afford a house like that...um...

I think it'll be a good season. So far, I've liked it anyway, even if just two eps :)

Dean was toned down a lot in this episode. It was a good episode for him. I'm glad they followed up with a Dean-centric ep after the premiere because we can see that his little charade is starting to break. I liked that quite a bit.
I'm curious of the demon's intentions and where they are going to be taking the mom thing. Maybe she did something to spare her first born and that made things worse for Sam *shrugs* I don't know. It sounds interesting though. :)
