Yup, I absolutely loved last night's episode of SPN. I was laughing so hard, I thought I was going to fall of the couch. Jared and Jensen really pulled it off. ONLY SPN could come up with something like this and not have it be completely self-indulgent and nonsensical.
Was I the only who REALLY wanted the YouTube clip to be from "Smallville"? I mean, it was funny because Dean would be completely horrified to think that he was once in a soap opera. But I think it would be so funny to have Jared say, "Oh, look, you were on some Superman show." And have Jensen go (all excited), "I played SUPERMAN? Awesome." And then Jared says, "No... um. Someone else named Tom Welling plays Superman. You... uh... you didn't get the part. But you were ON it. For... um... one season."
I wonder if the CW wouldn't let them do that?
I also completely agree with your thoughts on SV. That was the biggest filler episode that SV has ever had. How long was Clark even onscreen? What was the impact on his story? (None.) Lois's doubts weren't even addressed in a satisfactory way. I do think that the Lois/Oliver scenes were really funny, but - at this late of a stage - is this what we should be focusing on? Wouldn't this sort of focus been better back in S6 or S7?
