Great ending, very tragic but very good. John could only get through to Dean by going the most painful horrible root because he's so screwed up. I'd like to think the thing that kept Sam from being as screwed up as John is Dean since Dean raised him too.

I feel so badly for Bobby. Anf Dean will never know the truth of any of it.
