I think I gravitate more toward hero!Dean when I write. I've written angst with him, but I never really whumpage, mostly because I focus on the emotional side effects of things he's been through, not physical. It would be interesting to hear what outsiders think of the aspects of him I zero in on, because I've never really analyzed it enough myself.
Also, in looking at your notes above, I agree about H/C. I'm not much for writing that. Not between two guys, anyway. It always seems that people push for cuddling in H/C, and for some reason, that doesn't work in Supernatural. They boys are just too tough! I think even Jo would resent being snuggled after being rescued, LOL! I have an original female character that definitely likes being petted when she's hurt, but I think that's the only time I'm able to justify it.
