Cool. I wasn't sure exactly where you would go, but it totally made sense that Alec's real fears would be about becoming like Ben. Fear of self is always the worst. I thought his voice and perspective was very well-done, and so was Max, that belligerence she always shows Alec, along with the reluctant concern.
