Heh heh heh...I see I'm not the only one playing hooky from my Jack/Daniel story...I spent all day doing research that should have been done weeks ago, but I couldn't get anything to work right. So this idea just popped into my head last night, and it's so much better than anything I had going already. Yeah, so I scrapped it all, and started over. With two days to go.
But it requires a lot of research about details like what kind of trees grow in Colorado Springs, and what kind of canopy do they provide and what about the weather in Colorado, is it going to be hard on the trees? Or perhaps on anything built in them? And while I'm at it, how old is Cassie in Season Three, anyway? And exactly where would she be in her social development at age 14 or 15? Argh...
Well, I learned a lot, but I've about fried my brain on details that probably no one but me will consider worth all the time I'm putting into this. But even if the facts are never actually seen, they need to be right, you know? You can always fudge some things, but sometimes you just need a foundation for your story that's rooted in some sort of reality.

Sorry, I think I'm ranting... I'll stop now.
